At the core of Poeran’s practice lies a question: what do we actually see when we look at another person? Her work reflects the gap between what someone reveals and what we project onto them, leaving space for different interpretations.

Poeran’s process begins with photography and hand-drawn sketches, followed by a dialogue with artificial intelligence as a tool. It introduces chance and unexpected details into the image. Influenced by Cubism and Surrealism, and artists such as Picasso and Braque, she creates layered and fragmented images that shift through perception.
